Last December, Joe Lstiburek reminded us that designing for fire safety is one of the most critical responsibilities in building science. Next month, we’re taking a deeper dive into that exact challenge with 37-year fire service veteran and former Atlanta Battalion Chief David Rhodes. Drawing on his frontline experience and work with the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute, Chief Rhodes will show us how modern fire science should directly inform safer structural design.
